I shared this resource with the cohort of the Science Storytelling Challange and after getting so many emails back saying it was incredibly useful I wanted to share it with you all!
Good morning!
Today, I want to give you access to the most complete science communication list I know of… mine.
But before I do… I need you to read this 👇🏼
Science communication is not about science, is about media.
Research, science, technology is the arrow - but media, capital, distribution is the bow! Without proper communication you can be left with a pointy stick.
The biggest shift to becoming a great science communicator is being able to take a step back and find the story in the data.
Find the story in the research.
Find the story in the technology.
In the era of AI, lists, information and plain news is going to be produced by machines.
But narrative, context and analysis is going to become more important than ever.
So here it is - click here to access!
This list includes
1/ Major science and technology publications: NYT, Wired, Science (AAAS)
2/ Industry publications: IEEE Spectrum
3/ Their video platforms: Youtube, TikTok etc.
4/ Individual scientists / creators: newsletters, video platforms etc.
and more
Have a look around and try to see how the production, style, formats differ - but the effect is the same!
Please use the powers bestowed upon you with care. 🗡️
Exercise: Build Your Radar 🛰️
Before we start talking about the things we are building, we have to find out what our audience likes and choses to consume around our field.

tomorrow we I will show you how the two can fit together!
If there is one thing you remember from today let it be this
Ideas are cheap, stories are expensive.
For good stories to develop we have to know the topic and what is the angle and format that we are taking with each story.
Always learning,
Giota
P.S I run a Science Storytelling Challenge a few times a year for researchers and founders who want their work to actually reach people. If that sounds like you, join the interest list by clicking below ⬇️
