Get the 90-day roadmap to a $10k/month newsletter
Creators and founders like you are being told to βbuild a personal brandβ to generate revenue butβ¦
1/ You can be shadowbanned overnight
2/ Only 10% of your followers see your posts
Meanwhile, you can write 1 email that books dozens of sales calls and sells high-ticket ($1,000+ digital products).
After working with 50+ entrepreneurs doing $1M/yr+ with newsletters, we made a 5-day email course on building a profitable newsletter that sells ads, products, and services.
Normally $97, itβs 100% free for 24H.
This year I have one goal.
To share as much as possible on how to make people care about science and technology.
To share everything that made me go from never having produced a science video, to 5 million impressions in 10 months, invitations from the most exclusive science institutions around the world and over 15,000 wonderfully nerdy people following along.
How to add to the IQ of the internet!
But it didnβt start hereβ¦
Seven years ago, I got an offer for an MD and a PhD alongside the most prestigious neuroscience scholarship in New Zealand (plus another scholarship - who is counting!)
These guys were my friends for over a year.
melanoma brain mets (green)
my entire thesis can be summarised with βwear sunscreen, A LOT!β
I got to co-author two papers on my Honours year.
I LOVED the lab.
But way before that, this was meβ¦

circa early 2000s explaining how Coleoptera have two sets of wings to a captive audienceβ¦
Then, I turned that PhD offer down
Not because I was not excited about science but because all around me, I saw the most brilliant minds being exhausted, underpaid and sometimes totally broken by academia.
It was not an easy transition to go from molecular pharmacology β‘οΈ to the great big world!
Fast forward, one pandemic, two babies, a filmmaking project around the world (and what feels like a lifetime later), I am writing to you because science is a lifelong love affair.
After years of producing videos about travel and education, I MISSED science.
I missed the nerdy details, I missed talking about Ξ²-arrestin bias and how cancer cells are the most incredibly intelligent system in the entire world. I missed talking about the nitty gritty molecular details that make our world go around.
and I knew I am not the only one.
People with NO biology background were suddenly listening to a 3-hour podcast of Huberman or Attia explaining the inner workings of cholesterol synthesis or melatoninβs mechanism of action.
MILLIONS would watch hour long videos on Einsteinβs math from Veritasium, or geek out over the animated explainers of Cleo Abraham and the Huge if True team.
Science communication was going mainstream!
So this was my hypothesis, I just needed an experiment!
If I could do a Masters of Journalism at Harvard part-time, I could devote the rest of the time addressing the one thing that I wish more press covered.
The early-stage researchers.
The scientists that did not get the awards or raise the massive rounds.
The deeptech companies that were giving science a new pathway to market.
and⦠it worked!
Over the last year, I have covered over 250 stories across Youtube, print, and social.
These stories have not just generated attention, clicks and views (which are great!)
But they got me opportunities that only a few people around the world have.
For this, I am so incredibly grateful.
At the same time, I get to interview incredible scientists and founders every week, and almost every single one of them asksβ¦
βHow can WE produce videos and pieces like this?β
This science storytelling challenge is the answer!
This Challenge is For You If:
β
Youβre building something complex
β
Youβve raised (or want to raise) capital
β
You want more attention β from media, VCs, customers, talent
β
Youβve put off writing because it βfeels like marketingβ
What youβll get - starting February 2nd:
5 practical video lessons to learn how to tell the story of what you are building 100+ different ways
15+ science storytelling templates that build narrative
A repeatable science idea radar system so you never run out of angles!
The tactics behind some of the BEST science communicators you know and love
The 80/20 of video explainers: scripting, filming, editing (without fancy gear)
A guest session with a world-class science communicator (announcing soon!)
Each day one email, some days will feel like a 15-course degustation, some like a appetiser.
